  My family and I had eaten at the Italian restaurant inside the lodge. I had the Alfredo which was good. The portion sizes were perfect and an appetizer even came with the meal. It's a bit more expensive but it tasted great. The booth seats however were a little small and you can hear the pool noise from where we were sitting. All in all I'd give it a 80%. Expensive, average seating, below average atmosphere, but excellent food.

  We stopped in for a one night stay to break up a long trip. We arrived early and staff let us check in early as our room was ready. The kids spent all day in the water park and had a blast! Two awesome waterslides, a hot tub and a pool, all neatly kept. Staff very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised with the complimentary breakfast being a full buffet with so many different options of food. Hotel a little outdated but very nice and clean. We will definitely stay here again!

  After finding out that another hotel had lost our booking only an hour before arriving with 65 students plus chaperones in tow, Medicine Hat Lodge came to our rescue! They had all 25 rooms organized by the time we arrived, treated us so well, and provided an incredible buffet breakfast. Rooms were clean, and if we'd before 10 pm, the students would have had a blast in the awesome pool. Can't say enough about how great our experience was with Medicine Hat Lodge.

  Loved the pool-side rooms and the waterslides. Our room came with two pizzas and pop which was awesome. Also, the continental breakfast was fantastic. The rooms are outdated but overall our stay was wonderful! Definitely will be back.

  This hotel is fairly warn down and on the grimy side in terms of cleanliness, from the lobby to the pool area, common traffic ways and rooms. The rooms on the pool atrium side are loud. There was a lot of partying in the hallways and off the poolside rooms, if this isn't for you, I don't recommend staying at this location. The security doesn't seem to have much presence of seem to be proactive to shut things down after 11 pm. The food was cafeteria grade, but slightly pricey for the offering, but the staff were all very kind and friendly throughout the hotel.
  
  The coffee in the rooms is hideous, the toilet doesn't flush and the in room hairdryer was awkward to shut off and it wouldn't stay on the wall. The rooms are adequate otherwise, but I've slept in much more comfortable beds.
  
  I question this hotel being a three star, outside of the amenities it offers and I do think the rates are far too high. Unless you're there for a function and staying for the convenience I wouldn't recommend. Stay elsewhere and take your kids to the awesome rec centre instead.
